to curl a file from onedrive or sharepoint
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
https://askubuntu.com/questions/1205418/wget-or-curl-gives-403forbidden-while-downloading-file-from-onedrive-for-busine
need to first create access to the via link that anyone can use that has it
Google Chrome as well as Mozilla Firerfox both provide an option to copy download link specifically for cURL. This option will generate cURL with all required things such as User agent for downloading things from the side. To get that,
1. Open the URL in either of the browser.
2. Open Developer options using Ctrl+Shift+I.
3. Go to Network tab.
4. Now click on download. Saving file isn't required. We only need the network activity while browser requests the file from the server.
5. A new entry will appear which would look like "download.aspx?...".
6. Right click on that and Copy → Copy as cURL.
7. Paste the copied content directly in the terminal and append --output file.extension to save the content in file.extension since terminal isn't capable of showing binary data.
An example of the command:
```
curl 'https://company-my.sharepoint.com/personal/path/_layouts/15/download.aspx?SourceUrl=
%2Fpersonal%2Fsome%5Fpath%5Fin%2Ffile' -H 'User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux
Install using the repository
Before you install Docker Engine for the first time on a new host machine, you need to set up the Docker repository. Afterward, you can install and update Docker from the repository.
Set up the repository
Update the apt package index and install packages to allow apt to use a repository over HTTPS:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install \
ca-certificates \
curl \
gnupg \
lsb-release
Add Dockers official GPG key:
sudo mkdir -p /etc/apt/keyrings
curl -fsSL https://download.docker.com/linux/ubuntu/gpg | sudo gpg --dearmor -o /etc/apt/keyrings/docker.gpg
Use the following command to set up the repository:
echo \
"deb [arch=$(dpkg --print-architecture) signed-by=/etc/apt/keyrings/docker.gpg] https://download.docker.com/linux/ubuntu \
$(lsb_release -cs) stable" | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/docker.list > /dev/null
Install Docker Engine
Update the apt package index, and install the latest version of Docker Engine, containerd, and Docker Compose, or go to the next step to install a specific version:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install docker-ce docker-ce-cli containerd.io docker-compose-plugin
* find the disk with `fdisk -l | grep '^Disk'`
* create a partition table
* `p` to list partition table if any
* `n` to create a new partition
* `w` to write the new partition
## lvm (logical volume manager)
`vgs` to list volume groups
`vgdisplay` to show all info for a volume group
`lvs` to show logical volumes
Given a logical volume `group` you can extend the size of a `logical volume` inside that group.
```
sudo lvextend -L+100G /dev/ubuntu-vg/ubuntu-lv
```
now if you do `lsblk` the size of the disk has grown but filesystem still needs to be extended as per `df`
use `resize2fs` to expand the file system to take up all the disk space
```
ptrowbridge@usmidsap01:/var/log/postgresql$ sudo resize2fs /dev/ubuntu-vg/ubuntu-lv
resize2fs 1.46.5 (30-Dec-2021)
Filesystem at /dev/ubuntu-vg/ubuntu-lv is mounted on /; on-line resizing required
old_desc_blocks = 13, new_desc_blocks = 25
The filesystem on /dev/ubuntu-vg/ubuntu-lv is now 52428800 (4k) blocks long.

you need a ruby environment manager just like node, need to be aware of this as ruby environment upgrades in combination with mastodon upgrades have not worked well.

per [node webiste](https://nodejs.org/en/download/releases/) node module version 72 NodeJS v 12.14.1 and npm version 6.13.4
live/streaming hold the top level code.
if I try to run `node index.js` and hardcode the REDIS password, end up with postgres authentication error due to the connection module not supporting SCRAM-SHA-256
changed that back: real issue was that node was reverting to the latest version instead of LTS when starting the service since NVM is only per session.
apt n module makes a permanent version change, used that instead
so trust fixes a manual run of index.js, but the having that available on port 4000 doesn't help the search function.
now it is clear that search issue doesn't have anything to do with resolved streaming API service.
shoudl try service maybe?

wouldn't that be Pg authing against the OS (pam) which in turn is forwarding to krb5? which seems like an extra added step
sfrost [11:11 AM]
it's basically this:
ktpass -out postgres.keytab -princ
POSTGRES/centos(at)MY(dot)TESTDOMAIN(dot)LAN -mapUser enterprisedb -pass XXXXXX
-crypto DES-CBC-MD5
(except adjusted a bit to make it not use a shitty crypto)
you use ktpass to create your keytab file
copy the keytab file to the Linux box
arossouw [11:12 AM]
Seems like effort, i'll just play dumb on that one
sfrost [11:12 AM]
oh, gotta fix the princ too or whatever
but it's not that hard
and you might have to configure the realms, but not necessairly (that info is often in DNS already)
then you just tell PG where the keytab file is, set gssapi in PG's hba.conf, and create your users using their princ names, like 'sfrost@SNOWMAN.NET'
dtseiler [11:13 AM]
Im with @hunleyd, Id love to see a great howto post on that.
arossouw [11:14 AM]
I suppose the question is what is the advantage of using kerberos, and then deciding if its worth spending time on
sfrost [11:14 AM]
I just wrote it
^^^ see above
also wrote the advantage...
hunleyd [11:14 AM]
maybe i'll try this as a 10% project some day

# PostgreSQL Client Authentication Configuration File
# ===================================================
#
# Refer to the "Client Authentication" section in the PostgreSQL
# documentation for a complete description of this file. A short
# synopsis follows.
#
# This file controls: which hosts are allowed to connect, how clients
# are authenticated, which PostgreSQL user names they can use, which
# databases they can access. Records take one of these forms:
#
# local DATABASE USER METHOD [OPTIONS]
# host DATABASE USER ADDRESS METHOD [OPTIONS]
# hostssl DATABASE USER ADDRESS METHOD [OPTIONS]
# hostnossl DATABASE USER ADDRESS METHOD [OPTIONS]
#
# (The uppercase items must be replaced by actual values.)
#
# The first field is the connection type: "local" is a Unix-domain
# socket, "host" is either a plain or SSL-encrypted TCP/IP socket,
# "hostssl" is an SSL-encrypted TCP/IP socket, and "hostnossl" is a
# plain TCP/IP socket.
#
# DATABASE can be "all", "sameuser", "samerole", "replication", a
# database name, or a comma-separated list thereof. The "all"
# keyword does not match "replication". Access to replication
# must be enabled in a separate record (see example below).
#
# USER can be "all", a user name, a group name prefixed with "+", or a
# comma-separated list thereof. In both the DATABASE and USER fields
# you can also write a file name prefixed with "@" to include names
# from a separate file.
#
# ADDRESS specifies the set of hosts the record matches. It can be a
# host name, or it is made up of an IP address and a CIDR mask that is
# an integer (between 0 and 32 (IPv4) or 128 (IPv6) inclusive) that
# specifies the number of significant bits in the mask. A host name
# that starts with a dot (.) matches a suffix of the actual host name.
# Alternatively, you can write an IP address and netmask in separate
# columns to specify the set of hosts. Instead of a CIDR-address, you
# can write "samehost" to match any of the server's own IP addresses,
# or "samenet" to match any address in any subnet that the server is
# directly connected to.
#
# METHOD can be "trust", "reject", "md5", "password", "scram-sha-256",
# "gss", "sspi", "ident", "peer", "pam", "ldap", "radius" or "cert".
# Note that "password" sends passwords in clear text; "md5" or
# "scram-sha-256" are preferred since they send encrypted passwords.
#
# OPTIONS are a set of options for the authentication in the format
# NAME=VALUE. The available options depend on the different
# authentication methods -- refer to the "Client Authentication"
# section in the documentation for a list of which options are
# available for which authentication methods.
#
# Database and user names containing spaces, commas, quotes and other
# special characters must be quoted. Quoting one of the keywords
# "all", "sameuser", "samerole" or "replication" makes the name lose
# its special character, and just match a database or username with
# that name.
#
# This file is read on server startup and when the server receives a
# SIGHUP signal. If you edit the file on a running system, you have to
# SIGHUP the server for the changes to take effect, run "pg_ctl reload",
# or execute "SELECT pg_reload_conf()".
#
# Put your actual configuration here
# ----------------------------------
#
# If you want to allow non-local connections, you need to add more
# "host" records. In that case you will also need to make PostgreSQL
# listen on a non-local interface via the listen_addresses
# configuration parameter, or via the -i or -h command line switches.
# DO NOT DISABLE!
# If you change this first entry you will need to make sure that the
# database superuser can access the database using some other method.
# Noninteractive access to all databases is required during automatic

# PostgreSQL configuration file
# -----------------------------
#
# This file consists of lines of the form:
#
# name = value
#
# (The "=" is optional.) Whitespace may be used. Comments are introduced with
# "#" anywhere on a line. The complete list of parameter names and allowed
# values can be found in the PostgreSQL documentation.
#
# The commented-out settings shown in this file represent the default values.
# Re-commenting a setting is NOT sufficient to revert it to the default value;
# you need to reload the server.
#
# This file is read on server startup and when the server receives a SIGHUP
# signal. If you edit the file on a running system, you have to SIGHUP the
# server for the changes to take effect, run "pg_ctl reload", or execute
# "SELECT pg_reload_conf()". Some parameters, which are marked below,
# require a server shutdown and restart to take effect.
#
# Any parameter can also be given as a command-line option to the server, e.g.,
# "postgres -c log_connections=on". Some parameters can be changed at run time
# with the "SET" SQL command.

SSH keys are generated by the openSSH program and are usually stored in `.ssh` folder of the home directory for the user.
* Windows: `C:\Users\PTrowbridge\.ssh`
* NIX `//home/pt/.ssh`
If there is nothing there you can create keys by doing `ssh-keygen` like so:
```
sshdemo@USHCC10107:~$ ssh-keygen
Generating public/private rsa key pair.
Enter file in which to save the key (/home/sshdemo/.ssh/id_rsa):
Created directory '/home/sshdemo/.ssh'.
Enter passphrase (empty for no passphrase):
Enter same passphrase again:
Your identification has been saved in /home/sshdemo/.ssh/id_rsa.
Your public key has been saved in /home/sshdemo/.ssh/id_rsa.pub.
The key fingerprint is:
SHA256:DpV1961Dec5/vmASwdu8eYPp1UXi4QOku6LJeVoSz3o sshdemo@USHCC10107
The key's randomart image is:
+---[RSA 2048]----+
| . o . |
| o.+ . o.|
| o .o. = =|
| . .== O |
| o S .o o* +|
| * .. =o+|
| . * .. B ++|
| . BE. + +.o|
| B+ . .o|
+----[SHA256]-----+
sshdemo@USHCC10107:~$
```
if you chose to use a passphrase you will have to enter the passphrase once whenever you (login/boot?)
Here's the folder and files it created:
```
sshdemo@USHCC10107:~$ cd .ssh/
sshdemo@USHCC10107:~/.ssh$ ll
```
the `id_rsa.pub` file is the public key.
if you copy the contents to your profile on a git server, you can use ssh to connect instead of having to use user/pass with http.
usually you log into the website and go to setting for your profile.
after loading the public key to your public profile can clone the repo using ssh.
to target an alternate port you will have to manually do a remote add:
`git clone ssh://git@gitea.hptrow.me:port_num_here/pt/notes`
or if the repo is already setup you can:
`git remote add hptrow ssh://git@gitea.hptrow.me:port_num_here/pt/notes`
now you can `git push` without any password prompt
