to create a self-signed certificate and bypass supplying a password (using the `-nodes` option)
this will also create a crt file that can be used to install to as a trusted root certificate authority
    `openssl req -x509 -newkey rsa:2048 -keyout privateKey.pem -out certificate.crt -days 365 -nodes`
